teddynola 15 Posted June 1, 2018 Hi everyone, my surgery is on Monday. I'm excited and nervous, nervous because I get terrible post anesthesia nausea. But, I am wondering if any of you have fibromyalgia and did the surgery have any effect on your symptoms. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. RapidFirePickle 119 Posted June 2, 2018 I have fibromyalgia and for the most part my symptoms have greatly improved. It's only been a month, so I'll have to see how it goes overall. 1 teddynola reacted to this

magpie26 244 Posted June 2, 2018 I have chronic pain and bouts of debilitating fatigue , which of couse, I ha e one of THOSE doctors that says it's in my head. One of my other doc believes me but it's a conflict of interest. Anyways, I was on that liquid diet for so long ànd nothing I had had gluten in it, so I've been gluten free for 8 weeks, I am pretty much pain free, my fatigue is related to nausea medication. I've discussed this with my surgeon's PA and dietician they say it's great, keep doing it. My sister in law is a nurse with moderate to severe celiac, so she helps and coaches me, and I ha e no use for bread and Pasta anyway. I did this before my surgery too, but the carbs were too tempting. This week I will start eating it again to 1. Prove my theory and 2. I want to get tested for real 1 teddynola reacted to this
animallover1247 249 Posted June 4, 2018 I am 2 years and 3 months post op and have had fibro for many years. I have lost a total of 145 lbs and I'm sorry to report I've had no decrease in my pain. In fact last week I had to go to my PCP and get a pain and steroid shot. I am also on Lyrica. I exercise regularly (walking or swimming) and that is not without pain. My depression has greatly improved so it is easier to deal with the pain. Of course just because this has been my experience doesn't mean you will have the same experience. You will have many other benefits from your weight losd 1 teddynola reacted to this
