Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted June 1, 2018 Conrats on your surgery being behind you and I wish you a speedy recovery. I won't sugar-coat the first week or two. For a lot of us, it's really difficult. However, you're doing this so that you're better off for the whole rest of your life! Your pain will subside. You'll learn how to use your new tool. You'll get healthier than you have been in years. A little suffering now is worth it, right? You can do this! 3 allwet, ProudGrammy and Frustr8 reacted to this
KimTriesRNY 1,853 Posted June 1, 2018 All I can say is every day it gets a bit better. Walk walk walk. Get your fluids in. Nap when you need to. How you feel now is not how you will feel a week from now, or if you can imagine a month from now. Hope you feel better soon. 4 Orchids&Dragons, Frustr8, allwet and 1 other reacted to this
allwet 868 Posted June 1, 2018 What kim says above in BOLD!!!!!!! what you feel right now is normal and lots of people feel it. You had Major surgery and did it on purpose Now try to remember what that purpose was and keep it in the front of your thoughts till you get past these rough few days good luck and grats 3 Taoz, Frustr8 and Orchids&Dragons reacted to this

It's about Me 142 Posted June 1, 2018 Hang in there, the gas pain is no joke but it will go away. After three days I can say I felt a lot better. Take your meds and get rest when you can. Try to get your Protein in and Water when you can. I'm two weeks out and back to work, I feel great so I know you will to in time. Remember we are in this for the long haul 3 Pearldrop, allwet and Frustr8 reacted to this

Miss Topaz 300 Posted June 3, 2018 Buyers remorse is common the first week - what you're feeling is completely normal. The first couple of weeks were tough. My surgeon calls it the "boring diet", coupled with all the other healing stuff. But it does get better and you'll feel normal soon! Some days I even almost forget I had surgery 4 months ago! 2 Orchids&Dragons and Frustr8 reacted to this
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted June 3, 2018 My doc says that at least once a month someone breaks into tears when he visits them the day after surgery....and regrets their decision. He says he has yet to meet anyone who regrets their decision at their six month appointment. Hang in there...it gets better:) 5 Taoz, Frustr8, ProudGrammy and 2 others reacted to this
madscientistmommy 124 Posted June 3, 2018 I’m at 25 days. First couple of days were rough. Take your pain meds and rest. It dies get better. I’m pretty sick of the pureed diet, but other than that it’s ok now. Once you start seeing results it makes it easier. I bought some clothes around the two week mark which was fun. 2 Orchids&Dragons and Frustr8 reacted to this
