Hey guys!

I just want to ask everyone what their stats are. I am 5 weeks and 1 day out and down 13.4 lbs. That averages about 2.68 lbs a week. Overall, it has been a loss of 38.4 lbs from my highest weight. I beat myself up a lot thinking I'm not losing enough but the numbers have added up. My goal was to lose 10lbs a month since I'm only 5'0 tall and close to the 200lb mark and I've lost 10.72 beating my goal.

I love hearing everyone's success because it completely inspires me to do my best.

How far out are you guys and how much have you lost!!

I've been a part of BariPal for a while. I love the positivity on here and how everyone picks each other up. It's hard to see the big picture sometimes but all the advice on patience and trusting the process has really been true!!

This is a great post. You are losing right on track, keep it up!

I am 12 weeks out (as of tomorrow) and am down a total of 67 lbs from my high weight. Of those, 33 lbs since my surgery date. So I am losing an average of about 2.75 lbs a week. When I think of my loss weight loss broken down like this it helps as I feel like I haven't been losing like I "think" I should. I am impatient I guess.

SleeveinIL Exactly, it is so easy to be discouraged thinking I should lose more than I am. I read some forums with people that started off around my height and weight and they are losing an average of 10lbs a month. I am so happy for everyone and their weight loss. It is truly incredible to see how everyone is succeeding. I heard a really inspirational saying that about how we are all on a journey and there is no set time frame. We will all end up there eventually.

10 months out and after first month i have lost 8-10 pounds since including May which started out my slowest month so far but had a big drop in last 10 days to get me to my avg (8-10). I consider myself very very lucky because my weight loss has been very steady and not had the soul crushing stalls some have had to fight thru.

Well I am almost 3 weeks out of surgery and have lost about 16lbs so far but 35 since I started the journey.

I lost 13lbs in the first week and then was disappointed when I "only" lost 3lbs this week, daft I know!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
