I didn't mind it. It's no margarita, but not awful.

it's not as awful,as it used to be and sometimes they even flavor it. I have had it slightly peppermint, might have been left over from a pediatric patient but I'm not complaining that much, I'm thinking a,barium enema would be worse. 😧

I think the texture is more off putting than the taste. It’s thick but some are flavored and some are plain.

Ugh! I'm afraid I'll choke and gag, but yup, an enema would be worse! Thanks for the replies! Sarah

The drink is tolerable. Be sure to take a stool softener though.

It's like chalky Greek yogurt. It's not even really an issue, it's not offensive or off putting. It's not unpleasant or gross, it's just, meh.

Yeah, it wasn't horrible. The hardest part for me was the fizzy "pop rocks" I had to swallow to expand my esophagus first!!

It's pretty much really thick Water. It wasn't too bad, but the "fizzy lifting drink" you get to expand your stomach is pretty sour. The fun part is when the doctor move the table up and down and makes you roll in all different directions (I was stifling a laugh the whole time).

Just had it yesterday. It's chalky and thick. Blech. But it's manageable. It was the pop-rocks stuff that I struggled with.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
