Full liquids

This is probably a goofy question : / I am on the first day of full liquids post op. Does the 30 minute break between drinking at eating apply? I started drinking a Protein Shake but couldn't finish it die to feeling full. Can I still sip Water? I would think it was only when I get to the "food" stage but want to make sure I am doing everything right!

Its you can’t drink 30 minutes before you eat and 30 minutes after you eat. I was told to sip 4 oz every hour on the liquid phase. The 30 minute rule doesn’t apply to the liquid phase. Hope this is helpful. Congratulations

It seems that everyone’s doctor gives them different instructions about post op diets and how to separate fluids and meals but rest assured, until you are further along ,(and getting closer to more solid food), mixing Water with your rotein liquids is just fine.
