5 yrs morbid obesity

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if you have to show five straight years of being obese or can you skip years here and there. See I might not have it documented five straight years but I have been obese for about 10yrs. I wasn't seeing my Dr. all the time becuase he would write prescriptions over the phone? Also can I get my weight history from my foot Dr. becuase I saw him for other things that had to do with my weight and my foot?

As I understand they will accept documentation of your weight from any physician. But you must have the last consecutive 5 years. I do know someone personally who was able to submit photos due to lost medical records. But the photos had to be dated.

I have UHC and we submitted 5 years but it was not consective and was approved. I can so you a copy of the letter I used for approval. You can get the records form all your doctors even foot, obgyn etc. You could have them each do this letter, and sned it to the lapband doctor. e-mail me at VCW61@excite and I will forward you a copy.

Aetna required 5 consecutive years, so I went to my company dr that does our yearly physicals and got a letter from her.

I was lucky that I had my company physicals and used that data in the letters also and was approved. if it had not been for that I doubt I would be banded today.

Well, pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain (that'd be me). Little do I know about what insurance companies want. I was denied by Anthem yesterday. The doc's office is floored, they can't imagine why. Well I guess I can imagine... because they CAN.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
