acuttita 49 Posted May 25, 2018 My surgeon told me that they usually clear people to workout after three weeks but being that I had an infection and still have an open incision from the drain (it’s still closing), i can’t really workout so I’m stuck. I have been getting up and walking around more especially at work but my question is: I have a stationary bike at home where i can sit and just watch television. Do you think it’s a bad idea to sit on it at night and just watch some tv? I feel eager but not sure if it’s the best idea since I still have the open incision. Thoughts? allwet 868 Posted May 25, 2018 if the motion will move the wound around i would avoid it just a little longer. there are WLS doctors that dont even recommend the gym till you get back to solid foods. Getting healed is the main goal here. Did your doctor say ok after 3 weeks to you even with the incision or was that his policy in general. put in a call to the office if you are unsure. thats what they are there for.
