Little Green 583 Posted May 24, 2018 I know this is stupid but tomorrow I'm one week post-op and I just realized today I haven't sneezed yet. Ever since I thought about this I'm terrified that I'm going to and that it's going to be so painful! So, tell me about your post-op sneezing experiences
istytehcrawk 256 Posted May 24, 2018 IIRC, I don't think I sneezed until after my pain had mostly eased. Maybe you'll be equally lucky!

I held a pillow to my belly just in case but it didn’t hurt. 1 Matt Z reacted to this

Matt Z 4,139 Posted May 24, 2018 Coughing and sneezing sucked early on. The pillow trick is very much worth using! Grab that pillow and press it as hard as you can into your stomach before a cough or sneeze, it still hurts, but much less so (and it limits tear or hernia risks)
Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 25, 2018 It's called "splinting" and yes it does keep you🍠from feeling you are going to pop open like an over-ripe tomato🍎
