Isopure: flavor recommendations

Recommended Posts

Fairlife milk has 13 grams of Protein per cup. If you use it to make SF pudding and maybe even add some unflavored powder, you will have a great protein pudding.< br>

Awesome! I’m going to pick some up tomorrow! Thanks for the recommendation! :)

I found the Isopure Zero Carb drinks to be disgusting. Just the thought of them makes me want to gag. If anyone here likes them, I’m happy to send them to you. I think I have a problem with the artificial sweeteners. Even the SF ice pops make me gag. I’m struggling to get my Water and Protein in.

I actually sampled a blue one (blue raspberry i think) I didnt think it was terrible. It was not something i would crave but it wasnt horrible.

Just bought a bunch of Isopure. Tried the orange. Blech! Just wondering if those of you who have tried it have favorite flavors.

I’m think grape frost for tomorrow...

None of the clear premixed drinks tasted great to me, I still have 4 of those expensive drinks sitting at home. I only use them if I am far behind on my Protein because they go down quick and have a lot of protein. The Isopure powders however aren't awful but they are like the Premier Protein in texture and taste.

You guys were right. I tried EVERY FLAVOR and they were all disgusting. What a waste of money! But you live and learn right?

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
