Ugh! Here I am again! Why did I think this would be different?!? The minute your try to restrict my food I figure out how to take it to the edge as far as I can. Sleeve 4/26/18

Yesterday I ate a 1000 calories in the form of small things of cottage cheese and yogurt. Everything tasted so good. Last week i binged on 8 saltines. This feels like I’m on a diet. And that’s the one thing I immediately rebel against.

Does anyone else have this going on?

We often say on this board they operate on our stomachs not our brains.

Have you considered therapy to deal with the mental part of this?

Helped me a lot getting my head on straight before.

Slider foods scare the cr*p out of me. I'm also worried that they will turn into my new "cheat". This is especially tempting since I'm still not able to process solid Protein, so I'm pretty much on sliders 24/7. I do have an appointment with a therapist who specializes in eating disorders because I really want to make this work.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
