What is the most time anyone has got off from work?? While recuperating from sleeve surgery?

I took 2 weeks for my gallbladder (3/6/18) and 3 weeks for my sleeve (3/19/18) so 5 weeks total for both surgeries. I know people who went back in a week and people who took 6 weeks off for sleeve only. It depends on you, your job and employer, your insurance and your surgical team, I suppose.
I could have had more time if I wanted it but I was starting to feel a little better. I had a hard time getting a handle on my nutrition for the first few weeks so I was really exhausted. I would exercise and feel good for an hour, tops and then I would feel awful. Once I got a handle on my fluids and getting enough food in, I started to feel better and was ready for work.
Some people feel great straight away and go back to work right away.
How physically active are you at work?

I had my surgery on a Friday and was back to work the next Tuesday. My boss let me work remotely as I have a desk job where I sit in a cubicle all day. I worked from home the rest of that week. The following week I had already planned off as it was spring break. In hindsight I should have taken the earlier week off as well, because I was wiped out.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
