Kenny B 9 Posted May 19, 2018 Hi, my name is Kenny, new guy on the block I guess, and I’m in the early stages of preparing for surgery. My insurance only covers a couple hospitals so I am commuting from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. I have my first appointment June 14th and they tell me I will be going thru 6 months of tests and preparations in one day, and if all is good, I will be given a tentative date for surgery. I’m feeling very nervous, kind of excited, different feelings everyday lol. I know I am ready to make a change, that’s also why I signed up on here. Support, communication, and knowledge are a big part of it. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, couldn’t find a specific place on the forums to do that so I figured I would start here seeing as I know I will have a lot of questions. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 19, 2018 Hi KennyB, I'm in Ohio, but there is a sizable .contingent of Keystone Staters on Bariatric Pal, if you let them know what hospital you plan going to there may be veterans of that hospital who may have special knowledge, to share with you. Ask any questions you like, okay?😝 1 Kenny B reacted to this

Kenny B 9 Posted May 19, 2018 Thanks everyone for your kind words. I am pretty well set on having the bypass surgery. My sister did it several years ago and has made a total life transformation. Have been reading up on both the bypass and the sleeve surgeries, and just feel that the bypass is more of what I’m looking for. 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
