The Preacher 161 Posted May 14, 2018 Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, I have been considering weight loss surgery for about two years. I have decided to bite the bullet and go for it, I am a male and my current weight is 360 pounds with a BMI of 51. I just got approval from my insurance and was so grateful to find out that my total out-of-pocket for the surgery will be $295.00 My insurance is requiring me to go through a three month long program before having the surgery, I don't know what that is all about yet, my first appointment at the weight loss center is on May 16th this coming Wednesday. Did anyone else have to go through a program before having their surgery? Thanks!
AzzyandNatesmom 1 Posted May 14, 2018 I had to do a 6 month process before surgery. I met with doctor and dietician each month. They just want you to start practicing and work on habits that u need to learn before bypass. Such as driniking 30 min before u eat and 30 min after u eat. Np drinking from straws. Chewing your food well. Trust me PRACTICE! listen and learn. Best of luck.
