Oooh tell me more about massaging the fat on your tummy. Benefits? Purpose etc. *Please and thanks in advance!

Rolling or fascia blasting, it helps break the fascia where it adheres to the fat making it appear smoother and helps break it down. They have special tools you can buy but I just massage my trouble areas. You can feel them when they release. The area by my iliac crest is an area tummy tucks can't touch and breaking the adherence has helped tighten that area.

Thank you for the info!

Sit ups? Rolling? Massaging? Witch craft? plastics?

What is the best way forward??

I went into WLS surgery knowing I would have plastics. I want a flat tummy and know that there is no way mine will get there naturally.

Same. I’m 34 and I started my journey at 311 lbs. I had surgery 5/10 combined I’ve already lost 81 lbs. my tummy and inner thighs are already crumpled bag skin. My arms look pretty crazy too. But I can hide them with sleeves so I’m not worried about that. But there is definitely a Tummy Tuck and boob job in my future. I mean I still have over 100 lbs to lose!

Mine looks a little worse every time I look in the mirror. Also, last weekend I tried on a pair of jeans that fit just fine at the waist when I was standing, but as soon as I sat down, I had two hideous-looking pouches above and below my pants! I'll be curious to see where I'm at come December 2019.

I felt the same way today in my jeans!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
