baribetty 165 Posted May 9, 2018 I’m feeling less and less pain, and I want to start walking and exercising soon, but I don’t feel quite ready yet. Curious about your experiences!HW 289SW 262VSG 5/2/18 Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
Taoz 284 Posted May 9, 2018 I started more walking yesterday, but will wait a few weeks before I do anything more high impact. I am hoping to do a little light weeding/gardening next week, and might even be able to squeeze in a light-weight fishing session in the next few weeks (no heavy surf fishing for at least 3 months for me though). 1 baribetty reacted to this

baribetty 165 Posted May 9, 2018 Thanks! I have been lightly walking every evening but I love the idea of stepping it up in the walking department ASAP and getting a personal trainer once I’m ready. FluffyChix 17,415 Posted May 9, 2018 I started walking the day of surgery and never looked back. I walk every day. Now, I'm up to walking 1-40 minute session and 1-30 minute session per day--that's over 2 miles per day which sounds wussy, but is HUGE for me. At 6 weeks I was released to do strength training and I began in PT again to help me build core strength and endurance in preparation to working with someone to help me with a strength training (weights) plan. I have no limitations. 4 Beta98, baribetty, allwet and 1 other reacted to this
Losebig 508 Posted May 9, 2018 I walked a lot immediately. It was about a week to ten days before I did more strenuous outdoor walking. At 6 weeks I started more intensive exercise 2 baribetty and FluffyChix reacted to this

Thus I plan to take advantage of that phase as much as possible by walking as much as possible. That is what you did and look at your results, what an inspiration! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
