Hey -fellow Okie, I know of 2 people with PCOS that got pregnant after having the sleeve. The bypass would be a great tool to restore your hormones to balance. They were told to wait at least 1 year before trying. I have PCOS, and my first child came naturally, but due to secondary infertility (yeah PCOS sucks) I did IVF to conceive my second and then had a hysterectomy. I am anxious to see if it helps other symptoms of PCOS besides fertility in my case. Good luck!!!

Tulsa area and used Bailey in Owasso. I'm one week out today and have had a few rough days, but overall minor compared to having a major surgery. What made you decide on the bypass vs sleeve.

Are you using Dr. Katsis??? He is mine and I love him. Can't say enough great things about him. He is at surgical associates and went to ORU.

You are in good hands!!! He is a trained trauma surgeon with a really good reputation. He really is very good at what he does. I had started to doubt myself, because I couldn't find anyone who used him at Bailey and then I went to a support group in April and everyone had used him including the director of the program for both himself and his wife. No one had anything but praise for him. I liked Bailey and it had to be done at their facility for my insurance or I probably would have looked at a more streamlined program. Bailey hospital is a hidden gem. I have told my husband if I have any other scheduled procedures, I would choose them hands down. In an emergency situation, I would still go to St. Francis.

I really haven't had a lot of good experiences at Bailey...but I am glad you are!!! the other dr's I have told he is the one doing my surgery they have nothing but good things to say as well about katsis. we ALWAYS go to st Francis....I was there today lol one of my kids has asthma and having issues.

I am doing okay at 1 week post op. I can say that the gas pain/pressure is no joke! I woke up in recovery in pain. He does allow the use of good drugs while you are in the hospital to control it. Toradol worked better than oxycotin and hydrocodone in my case. I was walking and using the restroom within 10min of being wheeled into my room. I have had a few rough days, but overall feel better each day. I'm just gassy and bloated still. I think it takes a while for it to subside. I feel like I have 50% of my energy. I am working every day to get my Protein in and my hydration levels up. That is the number one cause for readmittance. I took 2 weeks off and I think I will be ready to go back to work when the time comes.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
