MrsLingo 74 Posted May 21, 2018 I’m not showing anything before surgery regarding only after in my pamphlet. However, I would avoid it two weeks before surgery. I’ve read that some patients have to do a twice week liquid and some like me have as little as 24hrs.
MrsLingo 74 Posted May 21, 2018 I just brought my toddler plate and utensil set for when I start foods. I don’t know how to eat in smaller portions to be totally honest. I’ve been practicing. The struggle is real but so worth it. Surgery date June 14th ❤️ 4 MissB_fit_2018, gully90, Orchids&Dragons and 1 other reacted to this
charlotte0606 56 Posted May 21, 2018 Regarding caffeine, I believe it really depends on your surgeon and program. I don't have to avoid it, but I should limit my intake to 1-2 cups a day (including tea). Since I have a 2-week liquid diet where I am not allowed anything else beside veggies, I will most definetely keep my morning coffee for the sake of my sanity Sent from my LG-H831 using BariatricPal mobile app 2 SAMorgan and MissB_fit_2018 reacted to this

Pete_A 37 Posted May 21, 2018 I used to take those diet pill with caffeine, but I stopped about a month ago. I stopped coffee last week, and I did go through the withdrawals. Just with the liquid diet some caffeine would help to get things going.

On my pre op diet I am allowed 1 lean meal per day. A small salad with 3oz of lean Protein, which makes so much easier. I tried to do only liquids last week and was much difficult. It feels good I am loosing weight and I feel more energized. The energized part I will attribute to a psychological effect... hahhaha 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this

I must admit the liquid diet is what scares me the most in this process. I just started this morning but so far it is going fine. I admire you to have started early Sent from my LG-H831 using BariatricPal mobile app

Might as well try to apply that to eating habits. 1 charlotte0606 reacted to this

Pachosalas 0 Posted May 23, 2018 Hi! I have a tentative June 12 surgery, pending insurance approval. I’m so looking forward to this! The only thing that has me stressed is being able to get back to work as soon as possible. I am self-employed as an upholsterer and a single parent so I need to jump back in the saddle and keep those endless bills in check. Since I work at home, I’m thinking to ease back into work once my pain is manageable, maybe in a week or so. My teenage son is going to help with the lifting, so I can do the rest of the work. Anybody else going back to a physically demanding job? Any tips?
