I just got some of this from Amazon ... you put a whole scoop into how much Soup? I haven’t tried it out yet.

Yup a whole scoop into 12oz of Soup. Only drank half the Soup because it’s so filling. I’ll save the rest for another time.  I also ordered from Amazon

I am craving chewing, so tire of liquids. Not really hungry to be honest, so looking forward to soft phase and be able to eat scrambled eggs.< /div>
Have Jello or a popsicle for the chewing effect

Really! I found the sugar free to be sweet. Lol. My taste buds are so off but I’m on my 3rd day so that’s to be expected

Awesome, I am walking a lot. I got used to do it so because my gas pain was really really bad. I had to stay one extra day on the hospital. Even though I don’t have pain anymore I still walk every couple hours for 30 minutes or more. Yesterday was my follow up, had the staples removed and cleared to drive. Life is coming back to normal.

What about freezing your Protein Shake as homemade popsicles ? I do that and it's good. But I gotta say I have been on purees since 3 days and it's a game changer. Hang on it won't be very long :)

That’s a great idea, I will try that. I just bought the Isopure unflavored Protein so I will come up with some chewable frozen goodness.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
