YeahOkay31 651 Posted May 8, 2018 I am 10 days post op and I still have all mine, but they are all starting to peel. I read that it takes 5-10 days for it to come off. Can't wait--itchy!!!
BuddyD 1 Posted May 8, 2018 The surgeon replaced mine one week after surgery. I said removing them was the most painful part of the whole process. The replacement strips started peeling and sticking to my shirt one week later, so took them off. Healing quickly and the sensitivity under my shirt is gone three weeks after surgery. TexasMommy80 297 Posted May 8, 2018 I am 18 days post op and have 1 left. Three days ago I took two off, and one of my wounds leaked clear Fluid. Stuff like that nearly makes me pass out, lol. Anyhow, that is normal but I still had to call and ask, it freaked me out. acuttita 49 Posted May 9, 2018 I’m five days post op and none of mine are lifting but i have redness around one of my incision sites and my stomach is hard in that area. Doctor said it’s ok and it’s not infected but i can barely walk without hold my stomach and putting ice on it. I can’t get comfortable because of it 1 baribetty reacted to this
BuddyD 1 Posted May 9, 2018 Five holes. Two small and three large. Did anyone else have bruising around two of the large ones? I think the camera and extra stomach came out of the one on my right side.

Is it next to your belly button? I think there is a deep stitch there, and I’m wondering if they pulled my stomach through there too, I’m going to ask at my post op!HW 289SW 262VSG 5/2/18 Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

I can’t get comfortable because of it Hi Acuttita, I wonder if a stomach binder might help you get comfortable. I know others have said that it helped them with stomach pain from the incisions. The incision that hurts is the larger incision where the excess stomach is removed. They place a very deep stitch in that area. I hope you feel better soon! sideeye 1,440 Posted May 9, 2018 Around three weeks. Don't pull them off, trim anything that's really pulling away and then just let them come off naturally in the shower or through normal clothing friction. 1 Shbunni reacted to this
J San 1,071 Posted May 9, 2018 Hate to come in here with not completely on topic question but been wondering... Is there a set amount of holes used in surgery or is every Doc different? From the video I saw at my 1st consult I assumed it was 3 or 4 but watched a youtube video the other day and the guy had 7. Vid was about 4 years old so not sure it things have changed. Sorry for barging in and thanx

Sorry for barging in and thanx I think it depends on the surgeon and the patient--I have 7 holes. 5 which are super tiny with pin pricks and 2 larger ones--about 2" each by my belly button.
