The above statement is the brainchild of Bill Engvall,of Blue Collar Comedy Tour. It stand for something so obvious that this is,a correct
answer. One that comes to mind
Pilot standing next,to a,one-seat jet plane dressed in full regalia.
Mechanic, walks up,to the pilot and says" Are you going to fly, the, plane?
Pilot: No I'm going to a costume party and I'm,standing here until they, pick me up

Okay,a story from my own family. Cousin Amanda,i s going to have ambulatory, surgery at local hospital. Amanda,is lying,on a gurney in the surgery waiting room, she is in hospital gown, blanket, over, her and an IV started. My cousin , her husband Brendan is sitting next to the bed, holding her good hand. Brendan is on my Daddy s side so he looks nothing like me. The person,he most resembles is Judge Ito of the OJ trial , even had a neatly trimmed goatee. Brendan is one,of the few cousins on that side I can stand, maybe because,he' s only a second cousin and turned out okay. Those of you who have followed my stories know what I think,of my boy first cousins on that side, most need garroting. Relatives on that side didn't like me because I don't resemble them. The majority are brunette and black hair, I'm tall, fair and have strawberry blonde hair & what was worse- the first child born after parents were married more than 9 months. Thought there might be a slight irregularity in my branch,of the family tree. They wanted to worry about that, take good look at Brendan , unless he's a throwback to the Native American blood nobody, admits to, his mama had an oriental friend, Irish name not withstanding.
Anesthesiologist walks into, the area looking,at his clipboard instead of looking up,finally looks at Amanda on the bed in a gown, and Brendan sitting next,to her fully dressed and says " And who will be having surgery this morning?"

I'm pretty sure they teach them that joke in med school.

Probably so, another cousin this one on Mama's side, her hubby pushing her in a wheelchair because she' s SO far,in her labor. Ward clerk looks up at Sarah, panting, blowing and gripping the armrests for dear life and says "And what are we here for today, dearie?"
For an only child I have an exhausting and inexhaustible amount of cousins. A lot of Happy Harry's and Fertile Myrtles in my family 🌳 tree😛

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
