This is not specific to stalls but here is the same advice i give everyone that asks

1. Hydrate - make sure you are hitting your Water target

2. track your food - use an app to track every thing you eat so know exactly what your macro's are.

3. no added sugar - no fruits if your stalled

4. no simple carbs

5. complex carbs from your veggies

6. hit your Protein target - this number changes as you lose weight.

7. No Snacks after dinner

Lastly i use a simple version of intermittent fasting - this just means i dont eat any calories after dinner till next meal the next day. This can be as short as 12 hrs when you start, something like 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

If you can go longer by eating dinner a little early or Breakfast a little late then thats even better.

this gives your body time to burn stored fat instead of a steady supply of new food every few hours.

good luck

Those darn stalls 😂 I think I’m on my 4th since surgery (5/5/2017). This can be frustrating. Allwet has really covered it all (good job). Perhaps changing up your exercise too might work. Keep your head up.. your still doing awesome 🎉

Try exeeding your Water goals by an additional 24-36 oz . Sometimes the minimum of 64-80 oz just is not enough.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
