acuttita 49 Posted May 6, 2018 I came home yesterday after having my surgery on Thursday. I spent one day in the hospital and i live alone but I’m grateful to have friends who support me and check in on me daily and almost every hour If i need anything. I’ve been tired a lot lately and i feel like i am not using the bathroom enough like the hospital. Still feeling some discomfort but I’m hoping to be off the pain meds by tomorrow night. Drinking fluids for two weeks is my meal plan post op and it’s hard to keep sipping but I’m trying. Does anyone else feel this way? I’m excited for this journey tho. brightfaith 187 Posted May 6, 2018 I also had surgery on Thursday and came home on Friday. My plan is a bit different from yours, so I am eating three meals of 1-2 tablespoons of soft Protein food (e.g., Greek yogurt) and one Protein Shake divided into three portions throughout the day. It seems like you’re doing very well! I agree, hard to keep sipping but so important. I am thrilled that I was able get over 70 ounces of fluids today. This will get easier, too. Hoping for a continued smooth recovery for you!
XYZXYZXYZ1955 675 Posted May 6, 2018 I really had to work my way up to drinking enough water/liquid, but keep at it . . . as long as you can keep from being dehydrated, that's the important thing at this point. Take it easy for a while--let your new stomach heal--and enjoy the future!
