Sleeve on 4/9/18. Leaving for Vegas 5/13/18. Not too interested in food or drinks at this point. I typically find out that whatever I am just dying to eat or drink isn’t really what I was craving so I can say no. But what about the roller coasters and zip lines? My husband is dying to do the slotzilla and I love the nyc roller coaster!

Guy trip.... Gambling...drinking... gambling...clubbing....#PowerNaps...lol...
We're going at the last weekend of July...so I'll have a solid 7 weeks after a two week recovery (now that I think about it) to get back in the weight room... The more I think on it the better I'm thinking it'll turn out...we love The Daylight pool party at Mandalay Bay....always live in the Summer....

Haha sounds great. I’m staying at the Venetian for the work portion of my trip then mgm grand. Wanted to do Mandalay Bay but I got overruled. Oh well [emoji4]

We typically stay in the same general area of the strip....all walking and close proximity to our rooms.....I'm probably over thinking it. I just wont be able to help kill the bottle at the end of the night. I will have to concentrate in making sure I'm getting Water, I'm horrible at that on any kind of trip.

It's possible you may lose the desire to drink. I was a big social drinker, but now, it just isn't appealing. It was completely unexpected.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
