I also have IBS and can't do the sugar alcohols. Orgain is a brand that isn't whey-based and I think it uses Splenda for the sweetener. They have lots of different flavors too. I got mine on Amazon.

Arabian I don't think I'm wrong, I think Splenda is sucralose, and gasp, that's a sugar alcohol, look for Stevia instead. I believe Svelte is soy-based and stevia, the bad news. is it doesn't contain 30 grams Protein but less. What can I say? 👈😝👉 Life just isn't perfect!

@Charlie's daughter, check costco, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, GNC, if none of these, have what you need check at a natural or health food store. There are soy,pea and other plant-based options.

Good luck and I hope you find something that doesnt drive your IBS bonkers!👍😝

Unfortunately most Stevia based shakes/powders also contain a sugar alcohol to help balance the taste (plain Stevia can have quite a strong aftertaste) . So make sure you check the full ingredients list of any Stevia sweetened one.

To me Sucralose has an aftertaste, and more than a little gives a headache. I don't notice the taste of Stevia, prefer it to Monkfruit and agave. And keep me away from aspartame and saccharine, they are the Migraine makers for me😞👸

xylitol isnt THAT common so avoiding that is pretty easy. And lactose is usually the issue more often than dairy.

My personal recommendation as someone who has IBS and lactose intolerance is to just go out and buy some lactase pills and beano. Theyre both quite cheap (especially from places like sams costco etc) and will keep your options open when it comes to Protein supplements.

I take lactase pills with all my Protein Drinks and have no problem. If you get a little gassy/bloated you could always add beano to the mix later.

The lactose free protein drinks tend to cost more money and dont taste as good, so I think this really opens your options up.
