LauraD84 18 Posted May 3, 2018 I found out this afternoon that my surgery is most likely going to be rescheduled for another day because my Authorization was canceled! My lovely coordinator from OBAND never updated the surgery date with United Healthcare. I literally ate a bunch of junk food and cried myself to sleep. My blood pressure went up so high I ended up waking up with a massive headache. KatFight 207 Posted May 3, 2018 That’s horrible! That is a major mistake. I cannot begin to imagine how you feel. I’m so sorry this happened to you. And, what a suggestion...to show up and hope the new authorization comes through. That’s anxiety-producing. Be kind to yourself (warm baths, nice music, candle/diffuser, and positive self-talk). LauraD84 18 Posted May 4, 2018 They contacted me at the last minute to come in yesterday after having the authorization escalated. I ended up having surgery 5:30pm instead of 10am but I’m truly grateful. I’m in the hospital now having a lot of gas pain which is expected but the surgeon advised the surgery went beautifully.
