Definitely.. I think they enable each other. idk how this will play out because they are not trying to lose 100+ pounds and walk away from all the help suggesting they do so but I know damn well doctor now is not doing surgery for someone who is 800lbs especially if they don’t prove themselves with great weightloss and self control 1st.

I think the brother will be the most resistant, which might become a problem for the sisters.

Wow the big one was the one who didn’t get approved. I can’t imagine how she feels, she really wanted this so bad maybe the most out of all three of them. The brother is so arrogant, you’d think he was only 50lbs over weight the way he really believes he doesn’t have a problem [emoji58]

Well let's see how I interpet it. The eldest, she was the one who set everyone and everything in motion. Branded had the most health issues, and that brother, grr!
Came with the sisters but hates the idea of putting all his plans on hold
Its like inside he's rationalized " He I'm not all THAT bad" yet Dr Now says you get your surgery. Tomkitten(my son) is laughing at me because I'm hollering at the TV" That ain't Right" that's episode 1, I got to know what comes next, hope it's On Demand status. Better be, when I start lobbing, grenades,Spectrum is high on my list. Wonder whether Proudgrammy or I nliw them up first? Specrum is like that obnoxious brother in law you want to choke but he's not worth going to prison for.
Otherwise since I missed last might I'll check when its next scheduled.😒

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
