Molly Quinn 7 Posted April 30, 2018 I got my surgery on the 16th, and I am about in puréed foods. I am doing well on everything and I don’t eat anything bad, but every night for the past few nights I have been feeling sick like I am going to throw up. Is it because maybe I’m not getting enough Water or Protein? Or something else? I hate feeling like this. Some guidance would be appreciated!
Mattymatt 491 Posted April 30, 2018 Speaking for myself, I know that I get bouts of nausea if I am dehydrated. Interestingly enough, this didn't happen pre-surgery. Are you making certain to get your 64oz of liquid in a day?
Ronaldo 0 Posted April 30, 2018 yeah i get nausea, but it is probably because you stomach is sensitive to everything in the environment now. so from stress to lack of liquids to fatty food and even smells. so start with the diet and cut everything and start adding stuff 1 at a time. You also have to remember that we all develop an ulcer that takes sometime to heal, so ask you surgeon for some omeprazole or some ranitidine for the time being. Im out of it now and trust me it was rough so do not try your luck eating stuff you did before because it will just not cut it.
sillykitty 10,776 Posted April 30, 2018 I got nauseas when my stomach is empty or when I am overly full. I’ve learned to mostly avoid the overfull feeling by slowing down when I eat. He empty stomach issue is harder, because I don’t want to constantly be eating. Thankfully after a couple of weeks the empty stomach nausea faded so now it’s just a dull ache.
