midsummersleeve82 9 Posted April 29, 2018 I just found out about my insurances approval.... I had been so inpatient about it and now I have cold feet... Throughout this process I kept it to myself because I didn’t want to have any seeds of doubt planted in my head. I even avoided the bad experiences people had on the hundreds of videos I watched on YouTube. When I finally decided to tell my family it was like oh yeah that’s nice.... now that it’s really happening everyone is against it. Even making me feel guilty about having the surgery because I have kids. As much as I tried to avoid it now I’m doubting myself and this process. Afraid that I will be that percentage of people that may have major complications... At this point I just need some support! 1 lorax reacted to this
allwet 868 Posted April 30, 2018 A 1% chance of that kinda outcome vs. 100% chance that the excess weight will steal the rest of your life from you one pound at a time. Do not let others dictate how the rest of your life will be lived. 2 Taoz and midsummersleeve82 reacted to this
lorax 14 Posted April 30, 2018 I am nervous too! (surgery in two weeks now) so I feel you there but allwet is correct . You are taking control and taking steps to live a healthy life in the future I am currently a bundle of nerves trying to remember that right now as well. 1 midsummersleeve82 reacted to this
Kahkeetsee 64 Posted April 30, 2018 EXACT scenario happened to me in 2014, so I chickened out after 6 months and 80 pounds lost . I cancelled 3 days before and have regretted it ever since. Now I've gained the weight back, have even more pain from four more years of my weight on my knees, and so am starting over. No family told this time. Don't let others scare you out of It!Sent from my SM-J700T using BariatricPal mobile app 1 midsummersleeve82 reacted to this
