I'm starting to regret getting it because I don't think I'm strong enough for this. I have failed with little bits here and there nothing crazy but have also thrown up. Now I'm more nervous than ever. I feel fine but I'm just terrified. Any advice? I need a sleeve buddy at this point 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dont worry nobody is fault free, we all mess up here and there. Just always remember why you got into this, my main reason was my parents families on both sides have lots of dire medical issues and i dont want to end up being seriously sick when i am 33 and i want to enjoy life raising my kids plus i want to look good, i was always a big football type but never slim. Always had a gut. Its time i jumped start life. Remember we are here to support you if you ever need anything feel free to dm me.

Thank you I was just worried because I had mine in March 24th so I'm like really nervous that I already hurt my body. I don't feel different but because I have thrown up I'm nervous. I'm wondering what I should do now.

If we were perfect, we wouldn't be here in the first place. Just dust yourself off and start again. Throwing up is a lesson. You either ate too much or too fast. You're new body is just much more efficient at telling you to pay attention than your old one was. It'll be ok.

Don't beat yourself up, no one is perfect! We all have to learn our new stomachs. Some lesson we have to learn the hard way, and that's ok!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
