How much, how fast? WEIGHT LOSS

Recommended Posts

How much weight did you lose in your first few months?

What was your original weight?

I’m curious what rates of weight loss people have experienced.

Thanks!

My weight is dropping like a rock. I think I am averaging a little over 3/4s of a pound a day and it recently picked up and shifted into high gear. I had a stall that lasted slightly over a week and I am back on the loser's bench again.

From surgery through week 6, I am averaging 3.6 lbs/week. According to my FitBit, I burn ~2,200 cals/day, and I eat < 800 cals/day, so my future weight loss should average to 2.4 lbs/week. I have no idea how accurate FitBit's estimates are.

It was about a pound a day for the first couple of weeks after surgery, Now about 3 pounds a week.

I had lost the first 9 pounds on my pre-op diet.

How long ago did you have your surgery?

@baribetty I had surgery on March 12th. So I am just about at 6 and 1/2 weeks post op. Funny but it feels like an eternity.

I lost 32lbs my first 5 weeks. And then hit a massive stall. Been stalled for nearly 3 weeks with absolutely no loss or gain. I’m 8 weeks out from surgery.

I'm 3 ½ weeks out, and I've lost about a pound a day so far. I know it won't last, but I will enjoy it while it does!

That’s great! Have you been active? What do you attribute your success to? Any tips? I’d love to lose at that rate to meet my first 2 month goal

Do you mind if I ask what your surgery weight was?

Thanks!
