I am planning to do a Tummy Tuck with breast lift in mid-2019 and then in 2020 arms with potential implants added depending on how I like my boobs with just the lift. :)

I had a thigh lift.8 weeks before i had an FLD tummy tuck.My Tummy Tuck was easier then the thigh lift. Its longer recovery and hurts like hell.I have a high pain tolerance.I couldnt sit on toilet for 6 weeks nor a chair.Had to use a cup to go.For a bm i would eat so i didnt have to go.But eventually it caught up to me and almost passed out in the shower.Very hard to get out of bed.My groin area stitches split open twice. But i would do it again. They stitched groin on both sides all the way to the back a little.I couldnt open my legs much.My thighs had stitches from groin down inner thighs to above knee area.Long recovery its a hard surgery for skin removal and hard surgery to perform.Make sure you have a good surgeon.Good luck!Hope this helps!

I had a FDL with muscle repair, mastopexy, extended brachioplasty and mons lift in my first round and I have just had a reverse FDL. Next up is thighs and completion of the belt lipectomy. The difference is life changing but it is definitely not something to go into lightly the recovery can be emotionally challenging

I wanted my FDL,thigh lift, boob lift with implants and a brachioplasy done all at the same time.My surgeon said absolutely not!Was too risky on chance of infection and recovery.Had my FDL with musle repair then 8 weeks later i had my thighplasty done. After those thighs being done i realized why he said no.Was the hardest surgery i have had.I have a high pain tolerance. Was same day and was given Tylenol 3 with codeine for pain.Nothing stronger was needed he said.Quicker recovery. Was true.It was.I am still in the process of getting my boob lift with implants hopefully in the Spring and my arms maybe a yr later.I do my surgeries in priority of what i want to fixed first.2 surgeries have made a difference.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
