Gave birth last night.

Recommended Posts

The turd I delivered last night should have had a birth certificate and been issued a social security number. I'm going to name it and claim it on my income tax.

I like new experiences....but that was ridiculous. It was the Godzilla of all poos. I was tempted to take a pic....but that is beyond gross and i'm already being insanely gross making a post about it. (but I fear there are others who can relate...lol)

On the plus side....I lost a pound and a half.

Giving the scale a few days before I record the loss...but it looks hopeful. LOL:)

Had that happen right after surgery and it wasn’t fun! Hope it was an easy birth. If it asks to borrow the car my advice is to say “no”

Omg LOL I did that last week. Took me an hour and a half but I finally did it. Absolutely ridiculous. I had to take a nap afterwards. I'm ready for things to get back time normal.

People thought I was kidding when I said I passed a pineapple the first time. Yes, the first time. There have been times even recently where I have struggled with the Constipation that were every bit 2 lbs. I felt like a gladiator leaving the Colosseum after being victorious in battle. I just needed someone to high-5 me.

Fiber - get friendly with it!

I had one of those this morning! It backed the toilet up. I needed to fetch the plunger.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
