Kahkeetsee 64 Posted April 23, 2018 Can you take pills after surgery? I hope to eventually get off my blood pressure med, but likely will still need my thyroid and my warfarin. That, and Vitamins seems like it'd fill my stomach.Sent from my SM-J700T using BariatricPal mobile app
Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted April 23, 2018 My doctor said that I didn't need to crush them if I could swallow them all right. I could, so never had to crush.
Mooseknuckle 85 Posted April 23, 2018 I take all my pills but right after surgery They gave me liquid pain meds that was easier . but my blood pressure meds had to be dropped as my blood pressure went way low with them it is nice to not have that. but I take capsules for stool softeners and such . They go down but I can definitely feel them. I just keep sipping my liquids and they seam to go down ok

TakingABreak 2,733 Posted April 23, 2018 I crushed my pills for the first 6 weeks, then I was cleared to swallow pills. I even found a bariatric Vitamin that I can swallow instead of chew. 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this

TakingABreak 2,733 Posted April 24, 2018 Thank you, I'm so over the Flintstones!I think it’s pretty reasonably priced too. It’s $50 for a 90 day supply. My other chewable Bariatric Vitamins were $27 per month. And it’s only 1 pill a day vs trying to remember 4.
