Only reasons I could think of is either it could be a stricture which I hope I'm wrong... Or it could be that maybe you have to wait longer, much longer between bites.

Does it happen with literally everything or can you maybe try unsweetened apple sauce and see how well you do with that? If that sits well, maybe add GENEPRO with it and get Protein in that way.

Another reason could be, those foods you've listed you just don't tolerate well at this time. I'm almost a year out and I just discovered that my stomach hates homemade orange juice... But doesn't mind homemade lemonade.

I'm going to go with the "see your doctor" advice--occasionally vomiting isn't usually serious, but if you are doing it often, it's a sign that something different has to occur. Get it checked out!

Please see your doctor. I am also 6 weeks out and the only way I will bring anything up is if I didn't chew my food enough or eat too fast.

I know I need to see him! I can eat potato chips no problem. 1/2 piece of thin pizza no problem. I can even eat the juice of an orange!! But all the other stuff- nope. Does it sound like me? I’m thinking I’m eating too big a portion! Sigh. I’ll let you all know!!

You're six weeks out. How do you know you can handle potato chips and pizza? Because you've already eaten them. Why have the surgery?

Not at 6 weeks out from weight loss surgery . Portion Control is for non-surgical people who are trying to lose weight or maintain their weight. Weight loss surgery patients are supposed to be Protein, veg, then carb lifelong. I've yet to see anyone post a diet plan that included either item at 6 weeks, 3 months, 1 year out. You shouldn't even know if you can tolerate those foods yet.

Portion control

Well. Flaky fish came back; egg came back: salmon came back. Crab came back. Shrimp came back. Lobster came back. Little bits of chicken came back. I wanted something to eat.

I am 10 weeks out, and I am scared to swallow food for that same reason. I will chew food for the taste, but will not swallow it. The dietitian is fussing at me saying I’m not getting in enough calories. I hate dumping, so I just try to get my Protein and fluids in, which I have still not conquered.

4 months out, and I still throw up every few days or so, but so much less than even just 30 days ago.

You might want to be careful, this is considered an eating disorder.

Try not to be afraid of swallowing food. You won’t know it will happen f you never try

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
