TaylorMade4One 105 Posted April 22, 2018 I have haital hernia and getting the bypass. Has anyone had complications?
jess9395 5,449 Posted April 22, 2018 REALLY common to have a hiatal hernia when you are obese. It takes about 2 minutes and a couple stitches to fix it while they are in there. I had one fixed during the surgery. No biggie. 1 Creekimp13 reacted to this

MaryPoppins 5 Posted April 22, 2018 I’m getting ready for surgery soon and have a massive hiatal hernia. My entire stomach is in my chest. It’s painful and very uncomfortable. Ive been told this is the only surgery that will successfully repair the hernia and reduce the chances of it returning. For me, the weight loss is secondary and the hernia repair is my primary focus. It’s gotten to the point that I can’t eat anything in any quantity without needing to vomit later.
Frustr8 7,886 Posted April 22, 2018 Already know I have a hiatal hernia, seems to be a family tradition, dentures, imother and grandfather all diagnosed with them. Will it complicate my future RnY surgery, strongly doubt it, we know it's there, just a little cinching up and I'm all better🌈😜
