lex2287 98 Posted April 21, 2018 I’ve been having a rough go lately.. I’m 4.5 months post-op... my weight loss has stalled for a month, my hair falling out and my boyfriend broke up with me last night and I can’t seem to lose my butt or my gut! I took measurements and have only lost 1” in my thighs and 6” in my hips and 2” in my stomach since surgery.. will this ever get smaller? I feel like my progress is so much slower than everyone else’s and I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or it’s just my 30 years of bad luck sticking around.. I have been walking 2-3 Miles 4-5 days a week and doing weight training.. so discouraged right now. Fml
allwet 868 Posted April 21, 2018 hang in there Lex. Results vary and the timing varies greatly. You are under a huge amount of stress right now and since this a mostly mental game post op the stress can really do you in. You cant target the weight loss. Your body decides and that is that. You can tone the muscles under the fat but the fat does as it wants. my gut was my most hated and it was the dead last thing to start shrinking. You just have to keep on keeping on. The plan will work. The timing might not fit our mental wishes but there is little you can do. Follow your doctors plan and review it from time to time to make sure you havent started to slip up my personal list - as seen in many many of my posts (lol) 1. hydrate 2. Protein 3. no added suagr 4. no simple carbs - thats just sugar misspelled 5. complex carbs from your veggies 6. no snacking 7. Does your workout routine still leave you in a puddle of sweat? change it up if your answer is no and lastly fight the good fight no surrender. It really is a mental game from here on out. all of the above is just my opinion and that and 2 cents will get you tossed out of a Starbucks. 4 mommy319, ProudGrammy, Orchids&Dragons and 1 other reacted to this
