As of tonight we will all be BANDED!!!

Recommended Posts

We all made it! All of us are finally at the finish line. After a month of fearing, cheering, and "OMG if I ever see anymore Jell-O I am going to lose it!" (Sorry to the folks who are recently banded...you will feel that way very shortly.)

Now our new journey together begins: WEIGHT LOSS and EXERCISE! YEEHAW.... I knew we were name TENACIOUS for a reason.

As we move into November and December and get into the swing of our new bodies, and our bands it will be important that we come together as a group. And can you just imagine what the new year is going to look like for all of us? Wow we are going to be HOT!

In closing I just want to say that I am proud to be a member of the Tenacious Tens. We are now off...and running...no one can stop us now!

OK the Good news on me ---

hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...amen!!!

I went to see my HERO, my Doc yesterday for my 2-week post-op. I am doing so good that he said ...[are you ready] ... I get my 1st fill in two weeks not having to wait till four AND all my insission are completely well so I can go swimming NOW!!!! Seeing him to get the details of my surgery and getting this great report was just so wonderful. I still can't believe it. Oh thank-you LORD...I am getting a fill that I have been waiting for over one whole year because of my 1st band leaking....I am exstatic. I may not sleep for two more weeks. I'd only loss -16lbs but it will come with restriction in time.

Amy - you are doing so great!! Have you lost all of your weight since surgery or did you do a liquid diet before hand?

I did not lose any weight before the surgery. I was in Vegas living it up in Sincity and then I went to California and had the time of my life. Got back 3 days later and it was time for surgery. My doctor did not require a pre-op diet...god bless him!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
