It sounds like you are asking if there are options to help you gain weight, but I suspect you really are asking if there are options to help you continue to lose weight or to fight weight gain? One suggestion is to go back to basics if things get out of hand--substitute Protein Shakes for one or two meals.

You can also track your food intake if you don't usually do that and see exactly how many calories, how much Protein, etc., you are getting. I find the MyFitnessPal website useful for this.

If I've misunderstood your question, I apologize.

No, you git it. I have gained 40 lbs and am struggling. I don’t want to be a failure. Need to get a grip on things. It was just so nice to not worry about my eating for sooo long and just live my life. I hate to go back to fixating on what I put in my mouth. :/ I have heard there are things you can do to “shrink” your stomach pouch back down? Like is there surgery options or am I doomed to go back to fixating on my food intake?

“Shrinking your stomach” - my lap band surgeon offered weekend retreats he called pouch training - basically, you shrink it by eating less, and it shrinks. The weekends were mostly psychological - the why and what of your recent eating patterns.

Remember, your good tool is still there - could you do your own “pouch training” by going back to the start, and doing liquid/mush/soft/solid progression?

Fixating? Maybe reframe it as being mindful of your eating again... you did it once, you can do it again, hey?

But I didn't really? It was mainly just natural before. I didn't hAve to be mindful. I wasn't hungry. I am kinda depressed that food now has to be an issue for me again. It's like I had a 10 yr hiatus from the word diet.
