Gracey 7 Posted March 27, 2009 O.k. folks. I know several of ya'll have had slight unfills. I have to go in today and have one. Do you go on Clear liquids after an unfill like you do when you get a fill? :huh2: My doc says liquids for 48 hours. :w00t: PJTP - I really, really, HATE it when people ask me something, I answer and then they ARGUE with my answer. Over simplified example: Q - "where can I get xyz?" Ans - "you can't anymore - it's discontinued" response - "but I was getting xyz" WTH? why did you ask me in the first f'ing place if you don't believe my answer??? And, I KNOW I'm right. I've worked here longer, I know more about the subject matter than this person - which is why they asked me to begin with - ARRRGGH. I hate people. Glou, girl, I have said almost the exact same words!!! I've been budgeting for my current employer for 7 years. A guy that had just begun budgeting would argue me down after having just asked me a question. I got to the point where I wouldn't answer the phone when he called. If he wanted to ask me a question, he had to do so over email. And yes, Plain, this is the Stalker! I like to wear clothes that have more wrinkles than my face. This is why I wear linen a lot. Priceless!!! Well, I split my time between polysomnography, male runway modeling, and freelance adventuring (looking for ancient artifacts, solving puzzling murders with my wisecracking sidekick, that kind of stuff). I thought we weren't going to to discuss our P.I. business?!? :smile2:
Donna113 2 Posted March 27, 2009 Nope, only disliked (can't stane) one. And yes, I LOVE the work and am very good at it. I plan to stay in the field but just do it elsewhere, if something opens up. I don't remember if you ever mentioned what you did?
BethFromVA 5 Posted March 27, 2009 I don't remember if you ever mentioned what you did? I didn't because of where I worked. I worked in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations court here in my area as a courtroom clerk.
plain 12 Posted March 27, 2009 Yeah, yeah....I'm not the queen of movie quotes, but I used to be the mayor. Yeah! I thought you looked familiar! I voted for you! PJTP: I'm officially unemployed as of 5:00 today. Sucks. But I know your new supervisor is a doushe, so....... And yes, Plain, this is the Stalker! Then it probably wasn't the budget he wanted to "argue down"! *zing* Sexual innuendo! It's my super power! I thought we weren't going to to discuss our P.I. business?!? :smile2: Nobody reads what I post, so we should still be safe.
BethFromVA 5 Posted March 27, 2009 Sucks. But I know your new supervisor is a doushe, so....... That's an insult to douches. :smile2: She's a horrid, horrid little wimp. It had gotten so bad that coworkers couldn't talk at ALL if not work related, you couldn't go down the hall for a minute to get a drink except on your lunch hour, you couldn't use the office IM except for work-related issues ONLY, and there was really nobody we could go to with our issues. She can do no wrong. I wonder if they'll be saying this when the place falls in around her ears. Oh, and she's neurotic and paranoid. One day last year a coworker and I were talking in the back hall about something personal to the coworker, but not about anybody in the office. This person walked by, saw us talking, and told our then-boss that we were talking about her and conspiring to get rid of her. :w00t: And don't EVEN get me started about the new "rule" that they attempted to implement a couple years back that if we were going to get Christmas gifts for coworkers, we MUST get them for ALL because Miss Crybaby had NO friends there and nobody got her anything (nor did she EVER get anything for anybody). Then the following year somebody DID give her something and she had the gall to complain at one of our staff meetings that, "Yeah, I got something, but it wasn't as nice as the gift this person gave to so-and-so." It's sheer insanity, and the fact that I put up with it for three years either says I'm nuts or I was simply long overdue. And no matter what Miss Thing does, the judges rally to her as if she has the goods on them.
plain 12 Posted March 27, 2009 And no matter what Miss Thing does, the judges rally to her as if she has the goods on them. :smile2: Does she have big boobs? Because, you know......some things trump!
BethFromVA 5 Posted March 27, 2009 Does she have big boobs? Because, you know......some things trump! Yeah, but the judges are women. Don't go there. :smile2:

babygrl1234 6 Posted March 27, 2009 Well Beth I am happy for you then. You will find something better with less douchery going around. So does anyone have any ideas on how to get a last minute cheap flight? My BF is in Arizona and the father of another one of our very good friends just passed away. This man was like a second father to her. So far the best we have found is over $700 straight from Phoenix and $500 if she drives 5 hours to Vegas and takes a flight from there. Do airlines make any like funeral exemptions? I just feel awful not being able to do anything.
*slim* 2 Posted March 27, 2009 PJTP-- HELLO all! I miss you all! We miss you too! PJTP: I'm officially unemployed as of 5:00 today. :smile2: I am sorry that you had to leave a job you liked, especially because of the hag at work. I hope you find something better. plain 12 Posted March 27, 2009 PJTP: It's official, I'll be working anywhere from 9:30 or so today until possibly noon. (that's a 15 - 18 hour shift). The sacrifices I make for my art......*sigh*
tapshoes 2 Posted March 27, 2009 BBK - we missed you Babygirl - I know only of airline discounts for deaths of immediate family; and this is rebated after proof of relationship and death Mac - I thought the same thing Beth - it is better to be out of the environment, but what a situation... Plain - we all read what you post...with eyes rollling. It's Friday...thanks be! I meet with a financial advisor this afternoon - as I have no money, this should be entertaining for me! Gone4Now 4 Posted March 27, 2009 Morning all! Beth, I feel you! I had a boss from hell a couple times. One, I was 18 and cute and he was a guy. He was a jerk to everyone BUT me and that made it worse on me. Second, a woman and she was a hell to everyone except her boy-toy in the office (who eventually left his wife for her and then they broke up. Karma!) One time in a meeting in CA, I was setting up the hotel conference room. She emailed me at 5 that morning, and at 8 am I replied...well, about 5 minutes after I replied, she came flying into the conference room, hair 1/2 done, makeup 1/2 done and in her robe. She said, "Don't you EVER reply to me when I'm getting ready! What do you think I was doing? I was getting ready for THE CONFERENCE!!!" She was shaking and spitting she was so mad. So, I stood up (I towered over her) and said, "Excuse me" in the nicest way I could. I went up to my room and called back home and my friends reminded me to wait...I couldn't just leave then. So, I did...found another job when we got back to TX, left a sticky on her monitor that said, "I quit" and I left. I heard from a friend later that she was FURIOUS that I'd just slunked away like that. But, she was the drama queen and I knew if I'd quit to her face she'd have dragged it out and made herself to the be the victim. This way, she had nothing to say about any kind of "confrontation". Although, truth be told, I'd much rather have squashed her little troll head to the ground.

That kinda gives me free reign to verbally cut them to shreds while maintaining the "hey they started it" status. I am somewhat known around my hospital for being the wisest and smartest of asses. Shocker, huh?
*susan* 1,709 Posted March 27, 2009 PJTP Is there a Facebook thread on here? *goes hunting* Yep, just a few threads down from this one. PJTP: I'm officially unemployed as of 5:00 today. :w00t: Did you quit? I know you are happy to be out of there and wish you luck on finding something you enjoy. Good luck, good vibes, much love, and angel hugs to you, Susan. You will do wonderfully. :smile2: Thank you!! So does anyone have any ideas on how to get a last minute cheap flight? I just feel awful not being able to do anything. Good luck. Airlines are the pits. When my DH decided he wanted to go with me instead of my mom to Mexico, they refused to transfer her ticket to him. So, I am out that $442.00. Then, because I was making DH's flight reservations at only ten days out, I ended up paying close to $1,000.00 for his tickets!!!! Good morning all! I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday. We are supposed to get storms this afternoon and major severe weather tomorrow. But, because I am a storm/tornado junkie, I am excited about it. I know, I am a freak. Hi Plain!
