Happy birthday to all the birthday peeps.

sleep is so not overratted. I heart sleep. It might just be my favorite pastime.

I am thinking a large nonfat chai tea latte is an excellent idea for Breakfast.< /p>

Hi all, just checking in to let people know I'm ok. I live on the other side of the country from the fires, so safe enough over here but devastated watching the news unfold. The toll is up to 181 last I heard and predicted to rise much higher as they discover the bodies. It is very surreal watching - I can't even begin to imagine being caught in one of the many towns that were just engulfed - it would be all my worst nightmares come at once *shudders*.

Anyway, sorry for not being in touch more - flat out busy selling my house and getting ready to move into the new one...

Good to hear you are safe. At least do a drive by once in a while so we know you haven't 1) been swallowed up by the bowels of hell; and 2) forgotten all about us (after all, it is all about us, isn't it?)

I just can't even imagine a fire speading that quickly. It seriously scares the hell out of me, and though I feel it is unlikely to find out who started the thing, I hope on the inside they feel absolutely disgusted with themselves.

Completely unrelated...does anyone else go crazy checking ups or fedex when they are tracking a package. I get all warm and fuzzy inside knowing where my stuff it and when it is going to arrive.

Or maybe I am just wierd.

I can't spell or type properly and there are probably still typos.

Thanks for all the birthday greetings; it's a happy happy day in Tippy-taps little world!

Fanny - thanks for the update. I cannot imagine the situation. I am glad you are away for it, but heartsick about those people and animals that perished. (The picture of the dead kangaroo on CNN just about ruined my day!). Sadly, I doubt they will ever discover who set the fires, and I doubt even more that anyone who did such a thing has a conscience to bother them!

Yes babygirl, online parcel tracking is fun (although frustrating when a parcel appears to disappear into the ether). One of my Xmas parcels once it crossed the US/Canada border disappeared for about 3 days, then the next entry just said delivered.

Happy Birthday Girls!

I just found out you can actually chat on FB. That would be something I would do someday. I do chat on LBT sometimes.

There are a lot of chatters that come to chat on a regular basis but don't read the board. I don't get that.

I am so sorry about the fires. We get them here in the summers. Fires are devastating. Stay safe!

How do I ping you?

PM or Email. PM works better, I think.

Mac, add me on Facebook!!!

Done! The rest is up to you.

I don't either.

We have a wildfire season in CA. It was scary the first couple of times, but you do get kind of blase about it until something really bad happens. Mr. Mac's sister and family were moving all around San Diego trying to avoid the last big set of fires down there.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
