Mine's not as great as your NSV, but here's mine: Co-worker brought donuts today and I didn't peek/look/yearn/sniff/want any. Oh, and of course the goodies are starting to come from outside companies and I haven't touched a thing. :whatchutalkingabout

Before this last fill (Tuesday) I could eat just about anything EXCEPT: granny smith apples, donuts and thick cut potato chips. Breads, Pasta and rice were no problems at all (I only ate the crusty parts of the bread or toasted).

I stay out of the fast lane unless I'm passing - I don't want to be in the way, and I don't want anyone else in my way when I'm trying to pass...plus you get noticed by the state troopers less when you're in the slow lane

Unless you're me and you get a speeding ticket in Georgia while being in the far left lane!

I use firefox and there is a smile add-on for forums.

Perk, there is? I love (and use) Firefox! Which one do you use?

I here ya, I have been down with the flu since Monday and am sick of being sick. I think I am finally starting to kick it though. I hate using my PTO time for sick leave, there are so many better things I could use it for.

We use the term PTO also! I'm sorry you and Diva have been sick. :tt2: <spraying Lysol just in case>

I saw on the news this morning that most of the airlines are trying to make those "temporary" price hikes and fees permanent. :whatchutalkingabout

They're going to be the next industry with their fricken hands out!!!

Since were talking about pants today I went shopping for christmas presents got everybody on my list something then it was my turn...I got a pair of jeans today as motivation size 6...got home to try them on and see how long I was going to have to starve myself before they fit...I zipped them and they feel great and I'm so happy I might never take them off...

Shut up, a size 6? That's awesome!!!!! :cool2:

PJTP - i went baby stuff shopping today...

Single digit! I would love to just get into a pair of pants with a double digit number with 1 in front instead of a 2. I am getting there.

Yeah for all of the NSVs.

Sorry that you have been sick Susan and Diva.

My husband (a card carrying breast man) is VERY upset.

Hey, I carry that same card! Maybe I'll see him @ the next meeting! :tongue2:

Just wanted to give a big shout-out and woohoo to EbonyRose for her pants NSV today!

*raises glass in a toast - Here's to Ebony's pants!!

Not surprising since there are less than 300,000 Icelanders (yes, I'm married to a rare species).

Spouse snob

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
