Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

I hate it when people post just to post.....

Thank you thank you thank you!

Now, back to you! Are you home from work yet? Do you think the company will give you time to get organized at home and prepared for the storm?

Be sure to get some bottled water! If you lose power or if your Water gets contaminated it can be a real pain. Stock up on easy to grab foods that you could put together in a pinch.

:) No...we're still here. My manager is grumpy because the company put her in charge of everyone's safety and she is the emergency contact for our group. She has a 4 year old and new born at home...she really doesn't need to be our baby-sitter.

SNT - thank you, you rock! The cell phone charge is something I always forget when travelling, so I'm sure it's something I'll forget this time.

You are way ahead! I forwarded it to a bunch of people too!

My boss said she would look into the "alleged" drug use. I have a feeling she is going to ignore the whole situation unless this girl makes some huge mistake. For an attorney, she is not very smart. She had twins at the age of 50, so I know she is crazy!

Denise that is just stupid. Why wait for a mistake that could impact her business? WTF? Just plain stupid...grrrrr. SORRY to hear that for your sake!

Thanks everyone for voting for me, you can do it every 24 hours. I want to stay winning. :rolleyes2: NOT that I am competitive at ALL! lol...

Glou---I have been in several. STAY inside and BE CAREFUL. Stay away from all windows and doors, and when it gets quiet DO NOT take your ass outside, lol or for that matter let DH do it! MADE THAT MISTAKE ONCE!

Turler--congrats to you hun! YAY!

Glou - I love hearing I rock, thanks! I'm such a Virgo (bday tomorrow) that I have had a packing checklist in Excel since 1990. I had to put cell charger on there b/c I always, always forgot it!

Tap - congrats on 50 pounds! I just got my surgery date - Oct 16. Wahoo!

BBK - voted yesterday and will continue to. You need a damn pick-me-up, sister! ^5

I'm actually looking forward to no electricity. No TV...no noise. Just the family together, playing games. By candle light.

On another note, I'm trying to eat a banana. I very rarely eat them and with the band it's actually hard. I heard that they're really good for you, so I want to get it in. It would taste better w/peanut butter, but I'm sure that would make it really hard to eat.

I wish you luck through the storm. Be safe.

Bananas are super yummy. I like to cut them up and put them in a blender with ice and milk. Yummo. Maybe add a little SF Syrup. But I do enjoy me some bananas.

Glou---make sure you fill the cars with gas. Put all important papers together, so if you have to make a mad dash, you can grab them and go.

BBK- I'll vote again today.

Turler--WTG, congrats.

Froggi---hope you have a good night (although I doubt you will sleep sound.) All the plugs kept annoying me everytime I turned over and I go to the bathroom a lot at nite, so I know I made the lady upset-unplugging me, then plugging me. LOL

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
