Haha - she's definitely sick of food! She was aiming for 13-15 hours and did it in 12:25. I cannot imagine!

I keep asking why I can't give them each 10 lbs to exercise off, 10 more, et al. They wouldn't look like Skeletor and I wouldn't look like white Star Jones!

Posting to say that my friend and her hub finished their first IronMan! I love them both but I'm kind of jazzed that she beat his time! :-)

OMG that is awesome!! Yay for the women!! Girl power!

I know, right? I am so proud of her/them! I sent a Congrats text but she isn't much for texting. Hopefully they can sleep tonight, lol.

Hello, everyone! Just peeking in to see what I have been missing. I have been so busy at work, and have one more week of it until our biggest fundraiser of the year.

SNT, I get your new avatar. But, Plain??????

I am watching the news...hoping Gustav doesn't hit Houston. Doesn't look like it, but I don't even want the rain that it could bring us.

And, waiting to hear from my brother, who is in the Keys...we cross our fingers every hurricane that hits the Keys.

Other than that...we about to have lunch, do yard work before rains get here, and I gotta do my running today. (I've sat on my butt this holiday weekend, and I actually MISS my walk/run program.)

I didn't sleep much either. Plus it's my official weigh in day and my mom called in the middle of my morning routine and not only did I forget to take my medicines but I also forgot to weigh myself!

Must have been the night for it. I barely slept a wink due to a weird but strong aching/pain in my left shoulder and neck. I feel about 100 years old today.

Well I weigh myself anyway even though I'd eaten Breakfast and it turned out okay.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
