I read about the race in the paper and was impressed, and just now happened to turn the TV on as repeat of the 100m was starting.....wow!! Now I'm REALLY impressed.

But now the Water polo is on. Boring.

These Olympics have just been amazing and addicting. These athletes this time around are what this competition is all about.

That being said, I'm just posting because I haven't been able to much lately. :mad2:

Thank goodness LBT is back up; I've been jones-ing! One of my gf's nephew is representing Canada in Water polo. I've never cared about it before but would love to see him; that's so cool!

It's also very very cool that Michael Phelps was so successful - amazing!!! I feel that he and Dara really represented the country well.

So I guess I can't post threads for the ladies in the powder Room Gone Wild unless they pertain to the band...ugh no more fun posts then.

How bloody fab! Australia got the gold in the women's tri! Woot!

Did you see it Chickie? I saw most of the swim and a couple of laps of the bikes and she was 5th or 6th then, she must have whooped some butt in the run and had a great transition from bike to run?

Now I'm off to try to figure out what this powder room bizzness is....

Monday morning and I'm back at work after having a week off.

I hate this. Why can't I win the lottery...? Something about having to play it to win it? Why? Why can't it be like jury duty?

Although, I've never been called for that, either so chances of me winning the lottery are still as slim.

Damn.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
