Brandy.. around the time I found out I was pregnant, I was so tight I could barely manage liquids. I went for an unfill, and slowly but surely the swelling has worn off. I now feel UNBANDED. So (and no surprise) the band has not fixed my fat girl mentality, and I have been gorging like food is going out of style. I do have an appt on Oct 15, and plan to have it filled back up. I'm afraid to see how much weight I will gain between now & then. Will power is definitely not something I have ever been able to brag about.

BBK, both times I had to have a complete unfill due to slips, I gained a bunch of weight back. But, as soon as I got a fill, it came back off. I am sure yours will too, especially because you have done so amazingly well with your band.

Kat, I think I would definitely have to give them ladies some attitude if I were you.

Kat, those women sound very unpleasant. Let them know, perhaps through their husbands, that you were on IV for a week and that you are fully aware of their unkind speculations. Yep, they definitely qualify for the bitch label.

Kat...it sucks when people make assumptions about others. I hope you prove them bitches wrong.

Brandy, When you get your fill you will do fine again. Don't worry about trying to be perfect. No one is. You just keep your chin up and do your thing. Great grade point average! What are you taking?

Kat. Nothing like a bunch of snobs to mess up your day....personally I would be very mean and next time I seen them I would walk up to them and ask them if they knew where you could score! LOL Then I would feed them a bunch of crap, then after watching the horror on their faces I would laugh maniacly (sp) and then tell them the truth!:cool2::smile:

Is it Friday yet?

No...but I sure wish it was. Friday is my very last weigh in day and the end of my 6 month supervised diet.

Monday my paperwork gets sent into insurance. :cool2:

Thanks. It seems the closer it gets the longer the time seems to trail on and on. My surgery is supposed to be the first or second monday of November. We will see how things go. I wish things would speed up again like they were in the beginning!:cool2:

Yeah g4e that would be kinda fun!!! My plan is to discuss it with their husbands--who I usually play ball with---where they can see me talking with the DH's they are so jealous, they will come a running!!!! When they do, I plan on being quite loud in discussing it with them! The term BIMBO fits them both so perfectly!

Green, that's my kind of telling folks off - through big words and condescension! :cool2: Pleeeease, Kat, for your LBT'ers, please make sure to look down your nose at them as you condescend!

Yeah in my drugged up state who knows what I might do!!! LOL

Kat

Kat, I'd probably apply dark makeup around my eyes and giggle uncontrollably. Then I'd loudly ask if "anybody has any spare change...I want a hotdog". Then I'd pretend to fall asleep in the bleechers.

That's just me. I love messing with people in my small town.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
