:girl_hug:I'm mad as hell at the Bush administration. We're on the brink of a Great Depression.

I think we are there and no one wants to admit it. Kinda like me when I was fat, but ignoring it doesn't make it go away..

Posting to say my feet hurt. These shoes were a poor fashion accessory this morning. They have a strappy thing across the top (1940's era shoes) - and my feet are still a bit swollen - hello pain. I can't take them off either - my feet stink! Where's Dr. Schoels (sp?) when I need him?

They do give them away free. Take one and save a donkeys life. Ever been to the Black Hills? They are from old miner donkeys that were abandoned and just multiplied. They're tame and cute as they can be.

never been to the black hills; your right - they are giving them away & i really want a pair - because our coyotte situation is getting worse. i was just wondering if i can put them in the same pasture as the longhorns & horse or do i keep them separate.....any jack ass experts chime in>>>LOL

also posting - LJM, did your work end? how's the band baby??

If you saw the ones in the Black Hills you'd fall in love with them. They come right up to your car, very comical.

I'm not an expert, but several family members have donkeys to guard the cattle. From what they tell me, mostly donkeys and horses struggle for dominance, which upsets the whole herd. However, I have a friend that has a donkey placed in (from when the donkey was very young) with a pretty old horse (she was too old to be ridden....basically just "put out to pasture") and they seem to get along fine.

Basically, I have no real info for ya, Lulac.....I'm nothing if not helpful!!

Maybe Luluc can take him and put him with her horses. She needs a "jack-ass", opps, I meant a donkey. LOL:biggrin:

I am not exactly sure where to post this. I know a lot of vets come here rather than newbies.

I have been puking in my sleep. I don't know why. I am not tight. I never pb or slime. Nothing feels stuck. Then when I am sound asleep, something is coming up. Last night it was 4 different times. Called the doc this am and all they did was give me Nexium. I don't see how that is going to help as I already take Previcid every morning.

I am going to put something next to the bed so instead of running to the bathroom ( sorry TMI) I can put it in a bowl or whatever to see if it's Water or what it is.

I have to take Ambien, to sleep, so I really can't take it earlier. Last night I stayed up half an hour after I took it, and slept reclining with pillows for awhile too. I noticed while running to the bathroom at one point, it was 4 am.

:confused:I'm mad as hell at the Bush administration. We're on the brink of a Great Depression.

While I think that Bush has been the worst president in U.S. history, I do believe that Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Paulson are definitely the two to lead us out of this mess.

Watching the Presidential Address. Dear lord, he's a bad speaker. (And what was the weird background noise?)

Clinton's on CNN (Larry King Live).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
