Posting to say I may end up quitting my job today. My boss is so stupid she hired a tweaker and she can't see it. Things have been stressful at work and I don't need to live like that.
Hmmm, Denise, what is up with that. I happen to be home right now because I just quit my job!

oh dear! i put in my 2 weeks notice Tuesday, last day is the 15th ... we'll all be out of jobs... it'll be anarchy (love Breakfast club!!)

sorry you guys are having job issues...

OMG you quit your job? Y'all have nerve that I surely don't have! (And I also don't hate my job and have no second income/hub!)

I'm playing hookey today to get my stupid car tags. Georgia has you get your tags your birthday month; how bad does that blow? Who wants to spend hundreds during their birthday month? Grr

I'm happy too. I have my granddaughters (from Baton Rouge, La ,because of the Gustav, thus no power/school) and I know here with me they are safe and we have power and school---daughter said the school might not start next wk because of IKE.

Well I'm back from the emissions testing and an oil change so I'll "get" to spend $171.93 on my lovely tags. F'n yippee.

I also sent my brother his football DVD's (to Australia). Hopefully that'll get me some good karma with someone!

Now watching an NCIS marathon. I heart NCIS - anyone else?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
