Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

I hate it when people post just to post.....

Recommended Posts

Sorry for being so dense Susan. Where is that? Is that on the main page where it shows everyone online?

Travel girl, what do you hate about the main page? You don't even have to use it really. Do you get emails that show you a new post on a thread you're involved in? I go from my emails to my threads. Then I just click on new or today's posts. I rarely see the rest of the stuff.

I hate that I have to go to the home page to pick which forum I want to look at. I mostly use the new posts link and subscribed threads link, but sometimes I like to see specific forums, and for that, I have to go to the home page, which has the strangest format ever, and the articles and crap. :crying: Maybe I'm just pms'ing. Dunno.

Actually, users are what contribute to your rep.

i think its based on posts too ... cause when i hit 4000, mine went from 5 to 6... most people w/ 4000ish posts have a rep of 6

I should know how we get those points and how to give the points, but I don't. Can someone enlighten me?

You don't have to go to the home page. You can go to the forum home page. Just click on Forum instead of Home. Or type in:

No services needed. This thread needs to live on and on. I hated when the thread killer thread died.

Yeah, it's been a little slow around here for a few weeks. We need some excitement!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
