And BBK, your new tat looks very cool! I haven't decided if I want a tattoo when I hit my goal weight or if I want to go skydiving. I'm kinda leaning towards skydiving at the moment.

Why limit yourself? Do both, I say! You've worked so hard to get to where you are, and it will just get harder from here. You deserve anything you want when you have completed your weight loss journey.

I do kinda want to do both. I want a BIG tattoo, though, probably a side piece, and I'm afraid I'll get 5 minutes into it and freak.

I'm scared I'll do the same thing! Thats why I am going to get something that I can expand on later if I want, and do it bit by bit.

You can do your tattoo is pieces. If you want a large one, they can start with the outline and do a little here and there. Or you can do what I do... just get nice and drunk!

and i thought when she said do both she meant she wanted to be banded and switched...lol

um... no! I knew from the beginning that even if my lil'band doesn't work - then I'll just have to do it all on my own. I know what I need to do, I just wanted a little help with my portions control. I see your confusion though, lol, can't do both really, I mean, can you?

sure you can...make a small pouch with the band, then make a shortcut for everything to exit straight out the butt!!

I think if we did that, we might starve to death. Just like our resident "sucess story" who just posted another new thread saying that she's STILL losing too much weight. WAA WAA WAA.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
