I'm not fighting. Never did. I'm defending my positions, after all this is a debate area.

Now fried lasagna...mmmmmmm

Fried lasagna? *shudder*

What I like is deep fried fryer oil. First you freeze the fryer oil in an ice cube tray. Keep the oil cubes frozen until ready to use, then roll the frozen fryer oil cubes in bread crumbs, and deep fry until golden and toasty. They are really good hot out of the deep fryer and dipped in mayo.< /p>

Deep fried lasagna, as requested.

I think it may be from Max And Erma's, I know they added it to their menu as an appetizer last year.

Oooo yes, carmelized onions. And maybe some toasted almonds.

Served on top of a mushroom ragout.

OOOH, the only lasagna we eat at our house is Stouffer's.. can you send me some of that??? PLEASE...
I've got an awesome (and very easy) recipe for lasagna, if you want it. Seriously, I've gotten compliments and "give me that recipe" from everyone that's tried it.

Please share.. I'm a fairly decent cook, I think?? But for some reason when I try to cook from a recipe it somehow never works for me.. If I experiment cook, I can come up with some awesome sauces and dishes.. but from a recipe, forget it... funny hugh??

nothing to do with any of the threads previously posted here.

Just need to vent...

I guess people take offense on some threads when an educated answer is given. I only offered the advise as I did go to college for 4 years to major on the subject..

:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
